In 2002, Just Us Girls started a scholarship program to provide scholarship funds to college-age students in Monmouth and Ocean County who have been impacted by breast cancer.

Students from high schools in Monmouth and Ocean county are eligible to participate in the scholarship program by submitting an essay about how breast cancer affected their lives.

Our 2004 scholarship recipients were Shannon Spellan from Manasquan High School and Danielle Luicci from Point Pleasant Borough High School.

Our 2003 scholarship recipients were Shaun Leddy from Manasquan and Alsyha Mileski from Brick Township. Shaun's essay was an account of the way breast cancer affected her relationship with her beloved Aunt Ann, changing her feelings about the nature of true inner beauty.

Alysha's essay touched on bravery, survival, positive role models, and the way breast cancer can affect not just the one undergoing treatment but also family, friends and co-workers.

Our 2002 scholarship recipients were Lauren Hersh from Howell and Jennifer Gasior from Brick Township.
